It’s Almost Time to Wrap up 2021! 3 Things you NEED to do!

We made it! Another year in a pandemic, and the business is still thriving. Though, to be honest, the year wasn’t full of rainbows and butterflies. Like any small business, we had our hiccups, but we took it as an opportunity to dial in on what we want our business to look like, what services we want to provide to our clients, and the direction we want to grow in.

So with 2021 coming to a close, here are some things we encourage you to reflect on so you can set yourself and your business up for success in 2022.

What went well?

Sure, maybe you had some difficult parts of the year, but set that aside for a minute and think about what went well for your business this year. Perhaps you signed on your first client, maybe you hit your profit goals, or finally released that masterclass. Maybe you remained consistent showing up on social media or finally got your Pinterest account going. I can guarantee at least one thing went well for your business this year. So dig deep into your year and figure out what went well; this will help you plan your goals next year.

What didn’t go well?

Sometimes we set goals for ourselves and our business, and we don’t achieve them. That’s okay. We’ve all been there. So instead, I want you to reflect on the goals you created for yourself and critically assess why you didn’t hit them. Is there anything you could have done differently? Were the goals unrealistic? Did something unpredictable happen, aside from a pandemic?

What’s next?

You’ve reflected on the last year, and you determined what went well in your business and what didn’t go well in your business. So, now what? Now you plan for the year ahead using your reflections to guide your goals and plans for your business. First, take what went well and use that to your advantage in planning your goals. Then, take what didn’t go well and use it as your strategies to ensure that you’ll hit your new goals.

When reflecting on the past year, there’s no right or wrong way to do it. Just do it. Think critically when it comes to your business. Dig deep, go back to January, and assess all the things that happened in your business over the year. Doing this will give you the best results and strategies for planning your goals for next year.
